‭‭“10-12 And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. 13-18 Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. “14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:14-17 (NIV)

1. Faith is gained by hearing the Word of God and believing it.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God” Romans 10:17

2. Our confidence, peace, and joy is affected by a renewed mind.  Without a renewed mind we will not enjoy the benefits of God’s Word and power.

3. ABOVE ALL means “Keep Out front”. Faith has to be held out front, not behind or on our side but in the front.

4. TAKE UP means it has to be picked up by you, your faith development is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

“War a good warfare; holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck” 1 Timothy 1:18-19

5. We should JOIN OUR FAITH With others when we are under attack individually and corporately. 

6. “Take the helmet of salvation” Ephesians 6:17



7. Satan uses oppression to pressure us and control us by manipulating and dominating our thought life. 

Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him”

8. The helmet gives us God given benefits to stand against deception and deceit.

“God has not given us a spirit of fear but has given us love, power, and a sound mind!! “
