Sampson’s blind spots:

He paid too much attention to his STRENGTHS and not enough attention to his WEAKNESSES.

He rejected the IMAGE of GOD and embraced the IMAGE of the WORLD.

He sought out relationships with DANGEROUS PEOPLE and thought he would escape the CONSEQUENCES.

His LONGING for Delilah was greater than his LOVE for God.

IDOLATRY is to give anything or anyone more attention, energy, resources, and devotion than you give to God.

How much of God you have is primarily determined by how much you DESIRE Him.

He lived out of his SOUL rather than from his SPIRIT.

Learning to let your spirit rule your soul

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence, 4 by which He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.”

WE MUST CONNECT WITH GOD THROUGH OUR SPIRIT NOT OUR DAMAGED SOUL!

Body- Connected to the World (Taste, touch, smell, hear, see…the senses)

Soul- Connected to the Yourself and others emotionally and intellectually.

Spirit- Connected to God

Spirit is immediately saved upon accepting Christ as Lord and Savior- (JUSTIFICATION)

Soul is being saved through obedience to God’s Word and Spirit- (SANCTIFICATION)

Body will ultimately be saved at death- (GLORIFICATION)

GOD WANTS YOUS SOUL TO BE CONTROLLED BY YOUR SPIRIT AND THE SPIRIT TO RULE YOUR SOUL!

WHEN YOUR SPIRIT RULES IT TELLS YOUR SOUL WHAT TO DO AND YOU EXPERIENCE LIFE!

“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38

Satan ultimately wants to:

Draw you away from God

Distort God’s purpose for your life

Deny the glory of God in your life

Destroy you any way he can, body, soul, or spirit.

Deliverance is possible!

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
