1 John 3:8 “For the purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might DESTROY the works of the devil”. 

Ephesians 2:2  “In times past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.”

In Colossians 2:15 Paul shows Satan’s defeat. “Jesus having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them by the cross”.

4 Greek words for Redemption 

1. 
   Agoridzo- To locate someone in the slave market in order to set them free. 
2. 
   Exagoridzo- To buy out of the slave market to never be a slave again, permanently!
3. 
   Lutroo- to set captive free by payment of a ransom.  By paying a price.

Ephesians 1:7 and Colossians 1:14 “In whom we have redemption through His blood”

Colossians 1:20 “Having made peace through the blood of His cross”

Hebrews 9:12 “But by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us”.

1 Peter 1:18-19 “We know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold… but with the precious blood of Christ.”

   Apolutrosis- to pay for a ransom in order to return the captive back to the condition they were in before they were held captive. To restore all that was lost while a hostage and give them back their full birth right as sons and daughters.

Galatians 4:7- Wherefore you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then a heir of God through Christ Jesus”

Ephesians 1:21 “We are seated with Jesus in heavenly places and have been elevated “far above all principalities and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come”
