Without FAITH, we see through the eyes of FEAR:

We EXAGGERATE the abilities of the opposition

But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!” 32 So they spread this bad report about the land among the Israelites: “The land we traveled through and explored will devour anyone who goes to live there. All the people we saw were huge.” Numbers 13:31-32 NLT

We UNDERESTIMATE our own abilities.

“We seemed like grasshoppers in OUR OWN EYES, and we looked the same to them.” Numbers 13:33

We CONTAIMINATE the faith and abilities of others.

“Then the whole community began weeping aloud, and they cried all night. 2 Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron. “If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!” they complained.” Numbers 14:1-2

We VACATE faith in the abilities of God to care for us.

“Why is the Lord taking us to this country only to have us die in battle? Our wives and our little ones will be carried off as plunder! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return to Egypt?” 4 Then they plotted among themselves, “Let’s choose a new leader and go back to Egypt!”

When we have faith…

FAITH OPENS the EYES of our HEART

“What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hoped for is going to happen and to be certain of things we do not yet see.”  Hebrews 11:1 NLT

“I pray that THE EYES OF YOUR HEART may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” Ephesians 1:18 NASB

FAITH DIMINISHES our PROBLEMS and MAGNIFYS our GOD

“Is ANYTHING too hard for the Lord?” Genesis 18:14a

“For nothing is impossible with God!” Luke 1:37

FAITH MOVES GOD to ACT

“Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your FAITH has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.” Matthew 9:20-22

FAITH UNLOCKS the PROMISES of GOD

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are all ‘Yes’ in Christ!” 

2 Corinthians 1:20a
