“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. 1. The earth is not a PLAYGROUND for Christian Games! It’s a BATTLEFIELD for Christian Soldiers.
2. We must be equipped with the right wardrobe 
3. We never know when the devil will strike, so be ready at all times. 
4. The armor is almost completely for defense
5. You have my back and I have yours.  Not supposed to fight alone.
6. We are called to STAND- can’t fight on your back. Stand your ground, do everything to stand, and stand firm in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and assurance of God’s keeping power… as you stand on the Word and prayer.

Put on the belt of truth

1. Everything should be tied into truth. 

2.  Satan’s attack on Eve was to have her question truth. “Did God really say?” Gen 3:1

3. Satan’s tactic is DECEPTION. Strongholds are rooted in a lie and the truth defeats it.

4. This is not just knowing truth but embodying truth. 

“Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.” Psalms 51:5-6

5. We are to hold Bible up to our life like a MIRROR.  Let the Word search you.

“Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.

24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Psalms 139:23-24

Scriptures on Truth

1. Jesus brought to us the truth

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”  John 1:14

2. Truth brings light and exposes the darkness.

“But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” John 3:21

3. Truth will make you free.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

4. The Spirit guides us by truth.

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” John 16:13

Truth we understand and receive today we couldn’t years ago as we grow.

5. Truth set us apart and sanctifies us.

“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” John 17:17

6. Truth is a person… Jesus Christ.

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6

Statements of truth

1. I deserve to be loved and God loves me
2. God is in control of all things and has all power and authority
3. I am not a mistake
4. My life has purpose
5. God can redeem my broken past 
6. God uses suffering 
7. Jesus wants me to receive Him as Lord of my life
8. Jesus will forgive me and help me forgive myself
9. Jesus has paid for all my sins and mistakes
10. I will live forever when I trust Jesus
